Dedicated to Professional Expertise, Integrity and Customer Service
Clock Shop Bench

This bench is dedicated to quality work and good customer service.  Each repair is thoroughly bench tested before being returned to the customer.  Should you have a problem with your clock once it has been returned to you, just give a call, and I will assist you with your problem.

The only clock that is not serviced in this shop is the Atmos clock.   Aside from the Atmos, this is a full-service repair shop specializing in antique, cuckoo, anniversary, grandfather and tubular bell clocks.  We also offer service for vintage auto/truck dash clocks and are now servicing vintage speedometers and guages.

House calls are available for grandfather clocks as well as large wall clocks.  Fees depend upon distance traveled to your home.  Estimates are always free for work brought into the shop as well as in the home.   However, there is a service call fee and mileage charge for house calls.

Often clocks are brought into the shop with broken or missing parts.  We can construct parts and have sources available to us who can often supply missing parts.  Wheel teeth are often stripped or missing, and fortunately a gear cutting service is still available to us.

We DO NOT service battery quartz movement clocks.

Appraisals are available. Although we do not do cabinet work, we can put you in touch with a quality cabinet maker who will be able to assist you.

We accept mail order repairs as well.   Please review our guarantee and payment policies.  Do not hesitate to call with questions.

Often, customers are flabergasted when they receive an estimate for a particular repair, and rightfully so, have numerous questions. I explain that not only is the cost of labor and parts involved, they are also paying for a lifetime of knowledge which I have derived from those who have come before me. It is knowledge gained through books and from personal encounters with those who have literally forgotten more than I will ever know, and who were willing to share their knowledge with me. It is through their teachings that I have gained the fundamental and rudimentary expertise to execute a professional repair. Many claim to be the best in this profession for indeed that is what this is....a time-honored profession. Few are, and their work crosses my bench annually for RE-work.

Allow me to take you on a virtual tour of my shop as together we execute 3 repairs on a typical day in the Clock Shop.

Its 7:30 AM, and the L & R ultrasonic tank has been heating for about 30 minutes. Its time to begin the day. All movements are torn down and cleaned in a special heated solution prior to beginning any repair. The first movement of the day is cleaned in heated solution for 30 minutes after which time the tank heater is turned off. The solution will remain heated throughout the day as additional movements are cleaned through cavitation.
